PARADE

FENSTERL

It’s been a year now since the pandemic has reshaped our lives and little good has come out of it. However, it’s also been a year since the first FENSTERL PARADE. In 2020 we managed to raise awareness and take back public space for a community disproportionately affected by COVID 19. We made it to 2021 and refuse to give up what we as a community have achieved.

STAY VISIBLE, STAY SAFE!

Print out your flags yourself and cut off the white border. Voilà!

HOW TO DO FENSTERL PARADE

→ MAKE A STATEMENT! The Personal is Political: Put a flag next to your window! Ask your friends and neighbors to do the same and join the party.

→ You’re at Home, Baby! Radio FM4 will be providing the right soundtrack for FENSTERL PARADE BETWEEN 1PM AND 5PM. Don’t forget to turn it on!

→ Listen up cyclers! There will be BIKE ROUTES through the city- more details to come soon!

→ Practice allyship and/or be visible - in every way possible. Instagram: @FENSTERLPARADE #FENSTERLPARADE2021.

3 SOUND BIKES

Three sound bikes are cruising through Vienna filling the city with FM4 Pride radio. Welcome them to your Grätzln or accompany them part of the way. Departure time is 2 p.m.

→ Note: These are individual bike excursions. Therefore the StVO applies. If you want to visit a Cafe along the way, please don't forget the 3-G rule.

A SPECIAL KIND OF PRIDE FLAG

A special parade asks for a special flag. The past year has taken quite the toll on all of us. Things have been put into perspective and some lines have become somewhat blurry. The overlapping horizontal stripes represent these tough times. And obviously there needs to be a window on it. Visibility matters!

ABOUT

The impact of the virus is widespread, affecting everyone not only financially but also psychologically. It has been quite the challenge to stay positive in times of isolation. However, we also know that community is the antidote to isolation. So here we are! Taking back community space and visibility! ❤️
